Upstairs is where all the fun happens in the nightclub section of the venue. Grab a drink at the bar downstairs to get in the mood or if you have to take a break from dancing. “Down here we want people to slow down drinking a little and really think about the flavors, “Chris Hewes, the bar’s head of the cocktail program, says. Good Hip Hop music and a great cocktail selection, Argyle is your place to go. Table service and guestlist available here.

Bootsy Bellows – $$$$

9229 W Sunset Blvd
West Hollywood, CA 90069

Formerly known as the Trousdale Lounge, actor David Arquette turned this space into a nightclub and named it after his mother. Bootsy Bellows is a luxurious celerity hotspot that has a swanky vintage style to it. After a brief renovation over the winter months of 2015, the club reopens with an upscale bachelor pad from Rat Pack era, draped in walnut and gold-framed mirroring with long wraparound golden banquettes and more. Another very good place for celebrity sighting but if you’re a guy, be prepared to pay big bucks for bottle services as it will be an uphill task to get in. Bootsy Bellows bottle service available here.

Elevate Lounge – $

811 Wilshire Blvd
Ste 2100
Los Angeles, CA 90017

The view alone is enough reason for you to try out the experience Elevate Lounge has to offer. Sitting 21 floors up in a skyscraper on Wilshire Boulevard, the club offers a breathtaking panorama view over the coveted Hollywood Hills and all the way along the Downtown Los Angeles skyline. A clean and modern design complements a spacious and open venue, allowing guests to immerse themselves in an authentic LA experience. Hyde Sunset Lounge – $$$$

8117 Sunset Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90046

A high-end dinner spot from 6-10pm, Hyde transforms into a top go to place for celebrities and affluent club-goers when the clock strikes 12. Its capacity is relatively smaller at only 500 and due to that, it can get pretty selective at the door. However, it doesn’t stop this place from being one of the best Hip Hop venues in town. Monday is Hip Hop night where a mix of classics and new songs will be played and on weekends big name Hip Hop artists take the stage. This place is truly a heaven for all Hip Hop followers. Please note that this venue does not charge cover and only does bottle service. As this is a high-end venue, make sure to dress up appropriately as well. Hyde Sunset bottle service here.

Nightingale Plaza – $$$$

643 N La Cienega Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90069

The latest SBE concept in the former Greystone Manor space, Nightingale is an avant-garde nightclub named after Hollywood’s after-party-rich Bird Streets. The first thing you’ll see upon entering is an elegant lounge with surreal wallpaper strewn with phantom limbs, flower with eyes and even dinosaurs designed by the acclaimed Rockwell Group. Four distinct areas allow guests to freely dine, lounge or dance in. A photo booth is also installed in line with the wallpaper to let up to 8 people capture their unforgettable memories in the club. Where refined elegance meets crafted technology, this venue is poised to be the next A-lister go to place. You’ll want to get bottle service here – Nightingale does not do general admission.

Warwick – $$$

6507 W Sunset Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90028

Take the typical Hollywood Club, give it a rough, indie feel, and you have Warwick. In the shape of a warehouse with exposed bricks, fireplaces and unfinished ceilings, Warwick actually offers top quality cocktails made from better booze and quality ingredients. The layout of the club is tailor-made to table/bottle services but the bar program, run by Jason Bran and Damian Windsor, is still a very good option for those who prefer to keep their money in their pockets. Once again, guys might have to go for bottle services for entry if you don’t know anyone. Occasionally, big name Hip Hop artists do appear at the venue so keep your eyes open for those events. No guest list or general admission at Warwick – bottle service only.

Bootsy Bellows Grand Reopening West Hollywood

The H.Wood Group’s throwback-style revamp gives the lounge a decidedly Palm Springs feel.

Throwback menus and vintage decors are all the rage across Los Angeles right now, and the redone Bootsy Bellows is certainly no exception. The longtime West Hollywood hotspot returns to life today, sporting a lush glassy and green interior for the all the club-goers in the Hollywood Hills.

Bootsy Bellows has been in operation, with a few updates and decor tweaks here and there, since 2012. It’s become a staple property for the busy H.Wood Group co-owners John Terzian and Brian Toll, as well as partner David Arquette. Even as the company continues to move further and further into hotels and restaurants, their original backbone remains in the nightlife space with places like Bootsy Bellows, Poppy, and the Peppermint Club.

The new Built, Inc.-designed bar and lounge comes in a rosy pink hue, with lots of plush banquette seating and light green accents, including lots of house plants inside. Chandeliers and a reflective main bar give the room a vintage Hollywood shimmer, while modern table bottle service draws in the current crowds.

Bootsy Bellows reopens tonight, keeping hours on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturdays.

1 OAK LA

The Argyle

Bootsy Bellows

Elevate Lounge

Hyde Sunset Lounge

Warwick

Most Exclusive Upscale Nightclubs in Los Angeles 2017

These exclusive Los Angeles nightclubs are not for the faint of heart. Packed full nearly every night of the week with local scenesters, beautiful trust fund babies and Los Angeles’ elites, there’s even a good chance that you run into a celebrity grinding on the dance floor, or catch an artist dropping in for a quick performance. All in a night’s work for places where the ultra expensive table minimum start in the thousands. Have your status and cash at the ready to get past the doorman at these night-time playgrounds of the rich and the famous – you’ll be rubbing shoulders with the most well heeled selection of LA high society, and they like to party hard. Most of these upscale venues do not do general admission – admission for ladies is at the door’s discretion, admission for guys requires bottle service. These are the most expensive nightclubs in LA:

1 Oak LA

You’re at a wild party, surrounded by shameless displays of excess.

Champagne spraying over tables. Beautiful women doing things they wouldn’t do within 200 miles of their mothers. Leonardo DiCaprio to your right, taking it all in with a leonine smile. No, you’re not in Wolf of Wall Street. Just hanging out at the new club on the Sunset Strip is all.

Meet 1 OAK, a New York–exported club heavy on champagne, hip-hop and already-frequent DiCaprio sightings, now open in the former Key Club spot. Like any good debaucherous club, its entrance is a cavernous hallway engraved with Charles Darwin’s writings—in case survival of the fittest wasn’t properly demonstrated at the red rope out front.

What this leads to: a massive ballroom of excess, with chevron floors, a massive marble bar, tan leather booths and… braille-studded paintings of gorillas. (Maybe to remind you again, as bottles swarm around you, of how far we’ve come as an evolved species.)

So, yeah, your night: big party situation. Someone in your group probably procured entry through the purchase of bottle service and table girls. Someone might be celebrating an Oscar nomination. Someone might exchange pleasantries with Jay Z and Bono, who’ve also been by.

West Hollywood // 10 PM – 2 AM // Tues, Thurs & Sat

Avenue

It’s not every day that a hot new club opens in Hollywood, but the Tao Group brings one of their most reliable nightlife concepts, Avenue, to the heart of Tinseltown starting tomorrow evening. A celebrity-riddled place in New York City, the Hollywood outlet is sure to bring in the same kind of A-list clientele as the Manhattan original, with a David Rockwell-designed space that spans a mere 4,000 square feet just outside the new Dream Hotel project.

Not massive, but just enough room to unleash some unabashed revelry. The place looks like a “grand estate frozen in time,” with plenty of custom design points and a lounge-style seating array. Expect world-class DJs spinning beats while the drink offerings are classic club-style booze: bottles and easy mixers. And when you get hungry, just pop over to Alvin Cailan’s pizza joint, Luchini, for slices and more. Tao, Beauty & Essex, and rooftop pool bar The Highlight Room will join Avenue for a NYC-style free for all in Hollywood.

Hollywood // 10 PM – 2AM // Tues, Fri, Sat

Warwick

Part rustic cocktail lounge part Hollywood club, Warwick (formerly Club L), a warehouse of exposed brick, fireplaces, and unfinished ceilings, opens October 5. The idea here is a simple one, but not always easy to execute. Take the typical Hollywood club, but give it more of a rough, indie feel, and vastly upgrade the alcoholic options to seasonal craft cocktails made with better booze and quality ingredients. As one can see from the layout, it’s a space suited to table/bottle service, but in this case the bar program, and yes, there’s a “bar program,” is executed by top talent Jason Bran and Damian Windsor who have likely liquored you up in the past four years at The Roger Room.

While one can always order a drink from the venue’s multiple bars, here’s how tableside cocktail service will work. Those who reserve a table score a personal cocktail attendant to make drinks throughout the night. A table might come with a choice spirit, fresh squeezed juice, housemade syrup or bitters, seasonal garnishes, housemade “foams,” and depending on the drink, fancy ice like this.

Hollywood // 10 PM – 2 AM // Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat

Nightingale Plaza

Nightingale Plaza is sbe’s latest nightclub concept located in the former Greystone Manor space, which is being reimagined as an avant-garde, nightclub named after Hollywood’s after-party-rich Bird Streets.

The entrance leads to an elegant lounge with surreal wallpaper strewn with phantom limbs, flowers with eyes and the occasional extraterrestrial dinosaur. sbe enlisted the renowned Rockwell Group for the design. Inside, guests can lounge, dine, or dance in four distinct environments. Between a sculpted fire place, mid-century banquettes and the state-of-the-art kinetic ceiling covered in 15 folding mirrored panels over the dance floor, there is something for everyone. The ceiling starts in a closed position and over the course of the evening, as the energy builds, the mirrored planes gradually unfold revealing a digital light show above creating a dramatic reflective landscape.

The most Instagrammable feature is the Rockwell Group-designed wallpaper, inspired by exotic foliage and magical surrealism. Plus, there’s a photo booth, lined in the wallpaper, that can easily fit eight-plus people. But have a game plan upon entering, because mastering the boomerang-like gif setup can take a minute. It’s only a matter of time before Nightingale gains mention in a hip-hop song, just like Drake and the Game did for its predecessor, Greystone Manor.

West Hollywood // 10 PM – 2 AM // Wed, Sat, Sun

Bootsy Bellows

Get a taste of tinseltown at Bootsy Bellows in WeHo, an original nighclub by David Arquette and the H.Wood group (Santa Monica’s Shore Bar). The ultimate LA hotspot boasts plush banquettes to lounge, while sipping specialty cocktails and taking in the a-list clientele. Hang out for live performances, burlesque shows, wild costume parties and dinner theatre spectacles. Snap a candid in the photo booth and capture one of the wildest parties the West has to offer.

West Hollywood // 10 PM – 2 AM // Tues, Fri, Sat

Villa Lounge

What is it, exactly, that keeps stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Kanye West, Demi Moore, Javier Bardem and even 70-year-old Dustin Hoffman (his son DJs there) coming back to Villa night after night despite the near-constant presence of paparazzi?

It starts with the design.

“There’s sort of an overtone of a bordello,” says Villa’s lead designer and architect, Lionel Ohayon, of the bar. “The general idea is that it’s a residential house . . . but an eccentric Hollywood Hills home. Things seem very familiar, but a little off-center at the same time.”

Which brings us back to the concept of creating a club that feels like someone’s (slightly bawdy) home. “You have to know someone in order to come in,” says the lounge’s owner, former SBE heavyweight Reza Roohi.

The best person to know at Villa? Roohi himself.

“I just created a ‘Villa black card,’ ” he says of the radio-frequency identification VIP cards that will go into operation in the next few weeks. “Certain clients, people like Michael Bay, will get these. If the door guy doesn’t recognize you when you pull up at valet, it will send a [radio] signal to a hand-held device with the door man, with the customer’s picture and vital stats.”

Such is one of the most exclusive spots in LA.

West Hollywood // 10 PM – 2 AM // Tues & Fri

Hyde Sunset

Meet Hyde Sunset Kitchen + Cocktails, the huger, patio-wrapped-restaurant reincarnation of SBE’s infamous celebrity hideout, now with former Whist/41 Ocean chef Chris Crary in the kitchen—opening Sunday at the old XIV space in West Hollywood.

It looks like a great dinner-date spot in here. A moody room of raw woods, Eastern carpets and hanging metal sprockets that all cultivate a breezy, arty Beachwood Canyon cabin vibe. For, well, a this-section-of-Sunset crowd.

But your ultimate aim is a rustic wooden table out on the patio, under trees and a graffiti-scrawled mural by the wood-burning fireplace. That’s what industry experts call a clincher. Then comes the fried-chicken-and-kimchi buttermilk-biscuit sliders, sambuca mussels, a ribeye and, if the occasion requires, a four-pound lobster.

Soon, they’ll open the lounge back near the entrance, full of the old bottle-service shenanigans.

West Hollywood // 10:30 PM – 2 AM // Thurs, Fri, Sat

Highlight Room

The Dream Hollywood’s final concept is here, and boy it’s beauty. The Highlight Room takes over the rooftop and poolside at the mod hotel, which officially opens tonight with some of the sweetest views in Hollywood. With clear cut vistas looking out to Hollywood and beyond, it’s clearly outfitted to become an evening party space, what with speakers galore, two DJ booths, and bottle service.

The far corner of the rooftop contains a decent number of dinner tables, where they’ll have full service. Think hamachi crudo, lobster toast, chopped chicken salad, and grilled prawns, with some amazing views to boot.

The southern stretch of the space feels more like a nightclub, with low-flung tables and and pricey cocktails (Ace of Spade bottles run a cool $1K, for the ballers out there). Revelers looking to relax by the pool, which takes the center of the rooftop, could sip on a boozy watermelon lemonade while taking bites of wagyu sliders and pea hummus. Cabanas require reservations, and the entire roof is only available to hotel guests during the day. Starting at 6 p.m. on weekdays, things open up to the public, except on weekends when the rooftop opens at 1 p.m. for everyone.

Hollywood – 10:30 – 2 AM, Wed – Sat

XIV Sessions

Made famous for their “sensory overload of neon, confetti, CO2, electrifying music, beautiful people and the phrase ‘save water, spray champagne,’ XIV Sessions had become the dayclub destination in LA.

Spinning only the latest and greatest songs and artists, XIV embodies fun, excitement and tons of flair. There’s no mistaking it, XIV is the place you go when you want to have a good time. And though the party kicks off every year during May, the XIV Sessions is no longer just a spring and summer affair; outside of the LA area, they’ve expanded to seasonal fall and winter parties in Las Vegas and Miami.

It’s impossible to have a mediocre time at XIV Sessions. The dayclub was designed to make sure that every guest, every dancer and every party-goer has the time of their life – and will be back again for more. This year’s XIV sessions is being hosted at Skybar at the Mondrian.

From a howling karaoke debut to unbridled indulgence on the dancefloor, anything goes this New Year’s Eve at Blind Dragon, one of Los Angeles’s favorite alternative nightlife experiences. This sense of shamelessness is especially apparent following your fair share of complimentary cocktails shaken and stirred impeccably at the five-hour premium open bar. Britney Spears said it best when she said, “There’s only two types of people in the world: the ones that entertain and the ones that observe.” Regardless of which type you are by day, as the final sun sets on the year past, all in attendance at Blind Dragon’s New Year’s Eve affair should come ready to perform, which tends to become much easier after immersing yourself in several complimentary cocktails. Whether you’re showing off your top-notch moves on the dancefloor to bass-heavy sets from a live DJ or singing your heart out on the karaoke mainstage, rule the final moments of the year in shameless style. As midnight approaches, the celebration commences on the dancefloor with a live DJ countdown and complimentary champagne toast. Those looking to enjoy this evening and exquisite Asian-inspired space in dynastic fashion are encouraged to opt into a VIP ticket package featuring amenities like private karaoke suite access, exclusive seating and bottle service options.

Event Highlights:
-5-hour premium open bar (9pm-2am)
-Live DJ performance
-Live DJ countdown and complimentary champagne toast
-Table/bottle service and exclusive karaoke suite access options for VIP ticketholders

Bootsy Bellows Reopening in WeHo June 16, 2015

After closing in early March for a quick winter facelift, West Hollywood’s ever-popular Bootsy Bellows has returned with a whole new look — and big plans for the future.

Though the overall atmosphere hasn’t changed much, with decor touches reminiscent of an upscale bachelor pad from the Rat Pack era, there’s actually a lot more to love inside. The Built-constructed lounge is draped in walnut and gold-framed glamour mirroring, with long wraparound golden banquettes and plenty of kitschy era-specific tidbits, from the lamps to the art on the walls.

On the back end, there’s also been an overhaul to the club’s infamous party aspect. The VIP room at Bootsy Bellows has long been legendary as a place for in-the-know partiers to experience a wider, more esoteric evening experience, complete with lots of live performances. The h.wood team is adding ongoing burlesque to the mix inside their new space, with even more crowd-pleasing options to come.

Bootsy Bellows is one of the centerpieces of the h.wood Group portfolio, which also includes properties like Blind Dragon across the street, and The Nice Guy and Henry’s, both nearby in West Hollywood. In June, mega-club-monsters Hakkasan Group took a controlling interest in the h.wood Group, and with that new influx of money and connections come plans for many more Bootsy Bellows around the world, each in a similar style. A Las Vegas stop is next (there’s already a Bootsy Bellows in Aspen) followed closely by Toronto.

Bootsy Bellows returns this Friday, with hours from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Bootsy Bellows Closed for Renovation

West Hollywood’s Bootsy Bellows, the beautiful and glitzy nightlife spot, is going dark for a few months in anticipation of a summertime relaunch. Since its opening three years ago, Bootsy Bellows has remained among the top clubs in the area, a rare feat considering the constant turnover in that market. In fact, the Bootsy name is expanding, with upcoming looks in Las Vegas and even Toronto. Still, nothing stays beautiful forever, so owners John Terzian and Brian Toll decided to shelve the spring in favor of an upgrade.

“We want L.A. to stay ahead of the rest,” says Terzian. “Bootsy Bellows will remain L.A.’s premiere concept lounge with signature puppet shows, live performances and our well-known exclusive ‘backroom.’” David Arquette jumps in to add that “with this remodel we will plan on really expanding the show with more performances, lighting, sound, staging” and more.

We’re looking forward to seeing what the h.wood group has in store – check back here for updates on grand reopening dates!

Top 10 Most Expensive Tables in LA for NYE 2014

There’s nothing more LA than getting regular bottle service at one of the city’s hottest nightclubs. But when do the real ballers come out to play? On New Year’s Eve, dropping serious cash when table minimums are at an all time high – ie $500k for Calvin Harris at Hakkasan. Using the Discotech Nightlife App, we’ve put together a list of the Top 10 Most Baller Tables in LA for NYE.

  1. 1Oak’s “Baller Package:” $7500 gets you and 15 of your friends the best table at one of the hottest club in LA. Bringing the New York nightlife experience to LA, you get to #SetItOff with 2 magnum bottles of Dom Perignon and 3 magnum bottles of Belvedere Vodka. $500 per “friend”
  2. Project LA’s “Baller Package:” At $7500 Project LA is holding its own against 1Oak and offers the same 2 magnum bottles of Dom Perignon and 3 magnum bottles of Belvedere Vodka for your party of 15. Project is an offshoot of one of London’s most exclusive nightlife venues, Project London. $500 per “friend”
  3. Create’s “Stage Table:” $7500 gets you a whopping 15 bottles of alcohol! Make sure you have your limo driver on call after this one. You and 15 of your friends can party the night away to the sounds of the French Grammy nominated DJ Snake, who exports a brand of party music so ferociously groovy that it instantly sets any party on fire. With $500 per friend you get a better bang for your buck in numbers of bottles, although it’s a little less baller than 1Oak and Project.
  4. Lure’s “Baller DJ Table:” $7500 gets you a table for your party of 20 and some serious exclusivity. Your table will party alongside the DJ at LA’s legendary venue known for its infamous “Luresday” parties every Thursday night. You get 2 magnum bottles of Dom Perignon and 3 magnum bottles of Belvedere Vodka. Averages out to $375 per guest.
  5. Henry’s LA’s “Baller Package:” Spend $6,000 at H.wood Group’s newly remodeled Henry’s and your party of 15 gets a bargain with 2 magnum Ace of Spades and 4 Belvederes. Henry’s is known to be a local hangout for Hollywood’s elite.
  6. The Emerson Theatre’s “Baller Package:” $6000 at The Emerson Theatre, an SBE venue, gets your 15-person party 2 magnum Ace of Spades and 4 magnum Belvederes. Emerson “conjures the raw decadence of a speakeasy, seductively incused with contemporary burlesque” – bougie ballin’.
  7. The Argyle’s “Gatsby Table:” Only $5000 to celebrate this New Year’s Eve in style at The Argyle, LA’s newest kid on the block. Your party of 12 gets to celebrate Gatsby style with an excessive Open Bar all night. Argyle is known for it’s tight door explaining why it has one of the hottest crowds in LA… just see their hostesses aka Argyle Aces.
  8. Sound’s “DJ Table:” Love house music and have alcoholic friends? For $5000 you and your friends can dance the night away to the sounds of Danny Tenaglia and score 10 bottles of liquor – enough to get everyone tipsy and still spray the crowd. Sound has consistently been voted one of the top dance clubs in North America for its acclaimed DJ line-up and intimate setting.
  9. Greystone Manor’s “DJ Stage Table:” $5000 and another SBE venue makes the list. Greystone Manor hosts Fifty Shades of Greystone, or otherwise titled as the “most scandalous NYE Party in LA.” You and your party of 15 get 7 bottles of liquor to compliment the sounds of DJ Orator.
  10. Bootsy Bellows’ “Bootsy Baller:” Drop $5000 to ball at Bootsy. From the same owners of Henry’s LA, including actor David Arquette, Bootsy Bellows is a vaudeville-inspired hot spot with various acts and regular stargazing. Host your party of 14 with 2 magnum Ace of Spades and 4 Belvederes.

NOTE: This list is organized by table price divided by the number of comps (aka # of people allowed on the table) and the size/number of bottles of alcohol you get.
