Best Las Vegas Clubs on Thursdays

What are the best parties in Las Vegas on Thursdays?

As the weekend draws closer, more and more venues will open their doors to the public. Shows are plenty during Thursday nights but still not quite like the weekend yet. Well, don’t take my word for it, but you probably don’t want to go too crazy just yet.

Hakkasan

The undisputed number one on this list, Hakkasan is easily one of the best clubs on the Strip, or even the world. Hakkasan is a 80,000 square feet, five story mega nightclub with lounges, restaurants all within the premises. While the main room primarily plays EDM, the Ling Ling Lounge and Ling Ling Room on the third floor has someone spin Hip Hop on most nights. The DJs that grace the stage of the main room are always the biggest names around like Calvin Harris and Tiesto. We have a guestlist with Hakkasan on most nights so make sure you check out our app or web app.

Drais Nightclub

Drai’s is the crown jewel and prized brainchild of nightlife guru Victor Drai. In one of his interviews, Drai famously said that he designed this place inch by inch. Every section of the club is exceptionally well thought out and the state-of-art sound systems along with probably the best visual effects on the strip gives Drai’s a pretty respected place in the Las Vegas nightlife scene. Note that we do have a guestlist at Drai’s on most nights so make sure you sign up to save a few bucks.

Encore Beach Club at Night

The late night counterpart of the best day party in Las Vegas, EBC at night does not disappoint at all. Performing talent is not as great as Encore Beach Club during the day offers but do expect lineups to be pretty solid still. A climate controlled dome also makes sure that parties goes on all year long. If you want to save up your nightclub energy for the upcoming weekend. Taking a dip at the pools in EBC at night might just be the perfect choice for you.

Tao

Tao, one of the everlasting mega clubs on the strip, offers a full Vegas experience with 60,000 square feet of pure entertainment including a nightclub, beach club, lounge, restaurant and banquet hall. If you had dinner at its restaurant, you can go straight into the club afterwards without having to lineup or pay a cover (this might not be applicable to holiday weekends and busy weeks). We have a guestlist here which you can sign up with the link below.

Liquid

Located at the excellent Aria Hotel, Liquid is a comparatively smaller pool party venue compared to the average Vegas day club. However, it does have lower minimums and ticket prices which mean you can save a few bucks for the expensive ones later on. Regardless, if you are looking for a more relaxed place to spend you morning afternoon in a pool but still with music, Liquid is the place to go.

Third Minus5 Opens in the Venetian Las Vegas

It is hot in Las Vegas this week. Searingly, brutally, highs-of-107 hot. The kind of heat that makes you hesitate to touch door knobs and steering wheels and makes leather car seat owners curse their upgrades. So it’s hot, right? Uncomfortably so.

That also makes it the perfect time to unveil a very cool new attraction on the Strip, and that’s exactly who Noel Bowman did on Friday, when the president and owner of Minus 5 opened the doors to the third Las Vegas location of the ice bar inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian.

“We’ve just had such tremendous success in Las Vegas with all the heat,” Bowman said. “We didn’t have anything toward the middle or the north end of the Strip.”

When the ice impresario opened his first location eight years ago at Mandalay Place, the concept of an ice bar was a tough sell.

“It took us about a year to convince Mandalay Bay that we wanted to do this ice attraction,” he says. “No one really understood it.”

Initially, Minus 5 was positioned as more of a high-end nightclub experience: bottle service, caviar and oysters with a frigid, icy environment to boot.

“We learned pretty quickly that we needed to be more of an attraction than a nightclub,” Bowman adds.

Today, the brand is just that: an attraction where guests don parkas and gloves to venture inside glowing rooms where the walls, bar, chairs and decor are all built out of ice. Cocktails are served in ice goblets, and after their time inside Frozen is up, visitors retreat to warm areas where they can lounge with a drink and work on their Instagram post. The bars are also popular for private events and can accommodate groups of 400 in event mode.

The new location, which joins bars at Mandalay Place, Monte Carlo and in New York and Orlando, encompasses 3,000 square feet including a 1,500-square-foot ice bar, where the opening installation includes a tropical room complete with palm trees and surfboards in partnership with Kenny Chesney’s Blue Chair Bay rum.

“We brought the beach to the ice attraction,” Bowman said. “We’ve got [Chesney’s] whole line in there. All the bottles are frozen in ice and people are drinking out of ice coconuts.”

Another room, designed in partnership with the Mob Museum in Downtown Las Vegas, offers an ice electric chair and police lineup wall.

“The beautiful thing about what we do from a design point of view is that ice is incredibly perishable, so we have the ability to recreate ourselves often,” Bowman added.

The owner is eying new locations in Hawaii, Nashville and downtown Las Vegas.

“Vegas is just pretty extreme, and this is a pretty extreme concept,” Bowman said. “Everyone in Vegas is walking around looking for fun, exciting things to do. Vegas is just a perfect fit.”

The Aquatic Club Debuts at the Palazzo

Everything you’ve heard about boozy popsicle delivery, floating ping-pong and poolside sausage pizza—is 100% real.

Enjoy:

Make a beeline for the Aquatic Club, a more sophisticated approach to dancing in a pool while consuming startling amounts of rum punch, now open at the Palazzo Pool Deck.

Fact: There are already several Vegas dayclubs designed for you and your swimwear-clad compatriots to do fun stuff by chlorinated bodies of water.

Other fact: You may not desire them as much now that there’s this hospitable 1950s-sports-club-inspired array of colorful cabanas with a poolside bicyclist ready to deliver you boozy popsicles.

Spend an upcoming lazy afternoon here. Depending on the day, you may be privy to a DJ, synchronized swimmers or floating ping-pong. If you receive some poolside spa treatments, too, so be it. That’s just how life goes sometimes.

So kick back and seize the opportunity to drink large-format, Prohibition-era cocktails. And eat Wolfgang Puck’s Italian sausage pizza, before taking a dip in the pool.

That is, 15 to 30 minutes before taking a dip in the pool.
