Best Guy Gerber Songs of All Time – Top 5 Tracks

Guy Avraham Gerber (born 1974 in Holon, near Tel Aviv) is an Israeli electronic DJ/producer and musician who works in the underground techno scene. His projects range from collaborating with hip hop figure Puff Daddy, to starting a left-field night at the Ibiza club, Pacha.

As a performer, Gerber has been consistently rated one of the best acts in dance music, topping as a top 10 performer for the last three years on Resident Advisor. When DJing, he is noted for his extended sets such as a 12-hour performance at Burning Man in 2014. Gerber’s 2013 Wisdom of the glove residency at Pacha caught the New York Times’ attention. 12 months later, he went ahead with a clandestine free Ibiza beach party he called, Rumors. On top of his performances, Gerber had helped curate and A&R many underground music talents. His label, Supplement Facts, hosted artists from Chaim, to dOP, Guti and Kate Simko. However, as it was reaching its apex, Gerber put this project on hold to launch a new imprint Rumors. The new project was launched with Gerber’s collaboration with Dixon, “No Distance”, as well as a crossover album with Puff Daddy, ’11:11′, which was one of 2014’s most critically acclaimed LPs.

Guy Gerber has a residency at Wynn where he will perform at Encore Beach Club and EBC at Night for the Art of the Wild events.

Miami Music Week 2019 Party Guide

The Ultra Music Festival or “Ultra” is Miami’s outdoor electronic dance music (EDM) festival that takes place every March.  As EDM has surged in popularity worldwide over the past decade and a half, this ubiquitous festival and global multicultural gathering has grown from a one-day concert for the first eight years of its existence into a two-day affair, and then in 2017 became a three-day morning-to-midnight event. The 2019 version of UMF is to millennials what Woodstock was to Baby Boomers: a music-infused touchstone that defines an entire generation, as well as one of the premier party destinations for Spring Break college kids and wealthy foreign travelers alike (attendance for this year’s event is expected to top 200,000+ revelers).

Notably, this year’s UMF – scheduled for 29-31 March – has moved location from Bayfront Park adjacent to downtown Miami, where it was held since 2012, across the Biscayne Bay to Virginia Key (cue Brickell’s exasperated local residents nodding and clapping furiously).  Above and beyond the handful of official events organized by the UMF planners and the WMC planners, the rest of the city’s local hotspots and businesses join in on the party, with performances by over 1,000 artists in over 200 events held in various venues from nightclubs to bars to restaurants to hotel pools to public areas such as Lincoln Road and the Miami beaches.

Discotech is your one-stop shop for discovering events and getting VIP access not only to the Ultra Music Festival itself but to all of the hottest 2019 Miami Music Week side-piece parties happening in and around the Magic City.  In homage to Australian DJ Fisher – one of 2018’s breakout music artists and a favorite among the Discotech team – here are the biggest EDM sea creatures swimming in Miami’s waters this week that you humble fishermen (or fisherwomen) should set your nets and cages to catch. And, if you’re willing to dive down into deeper waters, there are also plenty of great underground acts playing all around town at smaller venues, with reasonably priced tickets still available.

Dirty South @ Treehouse Miami

It has been an amazing ride for the Grammy Nominated DJ/Producer Dirty South aka Dragan Roganovic. Born in Belgrade, Serbia, he relocated to Melbourne, Australia when he was 13. When he started his musical journey, he couldn’t even afford turntables, but he managed to improvise with used NEC Hi-Fi and tape decks. By steady hustling, he was able to graduate to a computer, audio software, and keyboards, and his first official production was released in 2004. Fifteen years later, he is a staple at electronic music festivals worldwide, and in the biggest festival of the year he returns to his simpler roots with an open-to-close set at Treehouse, one of South Florida’s best underground electronic venues.

Claptone’s Epic Masquerade @ Kimpton Epic Hotel

Blurring the line between dreamscape and reality, The Masquerade events have seen Claptone take his inimitable soiree to all four corners of the world, selling out world-class venues along the way. Shrouded in intrigue, the masked figure behind the decks keeps his focus firmly on the music. As he invites the wildest partygoers to unlock their minds and experience a world like no other, crazy ideas will materialize out of thin air and grand dreams will come to life. One thing is for sure – Miami will never be the same after Claptone’s Masquerade has stopped by.

To ensure that this is an event not to be missed, the masked crusader has assembled a suitably heavyweight line-up to keep the magic flowing from start to finish. Up first is New York’s finest, Dennis Ferrer, who will be bringing his unique blend of house and techno to proceedings; UK house aficionado Weiss will be delivering tunes to match the sun-kissed vibe. One of the scene’s hottest names, Franky Rizardo, will no doubt have a few tricks up his sleeve, while Berlin’s Mat.Joe complete the line up with their inimitable brand of ‘crispy urban house’.

Art of the Wild at Encore Beach Club & XS Lineup Announced

After a wildly successful and musically innovative weekend of parties in October, Wynn Nightlife announced in November that it would be bringing Art of the Wild back to XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club in March. Today, the talent lineup for the three-day experience was unveiled, set for March 22-24 at XS, EBC and Encore Beach Club at Night.

Wynn Nightlife and promotional partner Framework will work with dance music brand partners including elrow, Music On and Rumors for Art of the Wild’s second edition, which will feature artists Bedouin, Black Coffee, Carl Cox, DJ Tennis, Fisher, Guy Gerber, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Kaz James, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, the Martinez Brothers, Nic Fanciulli and Paco Osuna. More performers are expected to be announced later.

Three-day passes for Art of The Wild are on sale now at wynnsocial.com/artofthewild. Tickets start at $75 for ladies, $125 for guys.

Bottle service for Art of the Wild at XS is available – these will be popular events so we recommend booking in advance!

There most likely won’t be a guestlist for Art of the Wild as it’s a special event.

“Based on the overwhelming success of last October’s events, we are excited to introduce a spring installment of Art of the Wild in 2019,” said Alex Cordova, managing partner of Wynn Nightlife. “This March, we will welcome back several returning brands and artists from last year and have made some incredible additions to the lineup, cementing our commitment to bring house and techno to Las Vegas.”

Daylight at Night Las Vegas

New Dayparty “Sundown” to Debut at Daylight on 4/26/15

In December of last year Hakkasan Group purchased a controlling stake in Light Group and 22 of its properties including Light Nightclub and Daylight Dayclub. Already responsible for MGM’s Hakkasan and Wet Republic properties, as well as Caesar’s brand new superclub Omnia, Hakkasan Group aims to differentiate Light from its other properties by focusing on a diversely-curated lineup rather than mainstream superstars. With that in mind, Daylight at the Mandalay bay is introducing the Sundown concept, the Strip’s first deep house day party / sunset party.

The new weekly party, to be held every Sunday at Daylight, is the brainchild of brand development VP Zee Zandi, marketing manager Pearce Cleaveland and renowned producer Nic Fanciulli, who plans to bring a lot of his underground DJ friends along for the ride. Inspired by Ibiza’s celebrated sunset parties, Daylight is ready to pair top, underground house music talent with the vibrant natural wonder Las Vegas displays at each day’s end. Beginning with Guy Gerber on April 26, some of the most revered alternative DJs will take the stage every Sunday sunset, crafting a visual and harmonious experience.

This party starts at 2 PM in the afternoon and runs until 11 PM at night. We have a free girl’s guestlist as well as a free or discounted even ratio guest list for Sundown at Daylight. To get on the guestlist or book bottle service, download the Discotech mobile app.
