Temple Denver to Launch Second Room

Temple Nightclub, which launched ten years ago in San Francisco and opened a location in Denver in October, will debut Lvl, a second, smaller room inside the club at 1144 Broadway, on New Year’s Eve. The new space will spotlight house and bass music on alternating nights.

Lvl’s design incorporates the sci-fi spaceship theme of Temple’s Vegas-style main room, which will continue to host larger EDM acts, with laser light shows, confetti cannons and a Funktion-One sound system.

The new room will boast an eight-foot-wide stage where DJs will perform, a small area for bottle service, another Funktion-One sound system and video projection, says Temple founder Paul Hemming. While the main room spotlights international acts, Lvl will host more local talent, starting with the club’s New Year’s Eve party.

Lvl will be open on weekends alongside the nightclub, allowing guests to go back and forth between the two. Hemming also hopes to use it on Wednesday nights to host smaller parties, nonprofit fundraisers and other events.

Temple is part of Hemming’s larger arts, entertainment and lifestyle complex, the Zen Compound; elements will continue to roll out over the next few months. In February he’ll open Mirus Gallery, which will double as a coffee shop, and in March he’ll debut a co-working space.

Hemming is also looking into renting office space from buildings close to Temple Denver, exploring an alternative currency system to use within the Zen Compound, and otherwise furthering his vision of a space where people can work by day and party by night.

Temple Denver Grand Opening

Temple Nightclub Denver is poised to make a splash on the Denver nightlife scene. They are hungry to give the city’s dance music fans a new home with an upscale feel.  Temple held their soft launch on Halloween weekend, featuring Blasterjaxx on Friday and Showtek on Saturday.

Friday evening’s entertainment was nothing short of amazing. It started off with an opening set that had everyone dancing on the dance floor. Temple also brought out the legendary Kryoman for a surprise show. The main event commenced when Blasterjaxx took the stage and blew the crowd away with bass-heavy sounds on the house’s awe-inspiring Funktion One sound system. As he threw down banger after banger, the crowd cheered and danced their hearts out. Denver’s EDM fanatics welcomed Temple’s dance floor with open arms.

The club itself boasts three levels of space with tables for bottle service and a bar on each floor for customers to enjoy. Partygoers can enjoy a dance floor that is spacious and open with enough room for everyone to dance comfortably. The dark decor with glowing neon accents synced with the beat to  create a wonderful atmosphere. The centerpiece of the club however, is their beautiful ceiling of LEDs that rolls from top of the club down the wall behind the DJ booth. It produced beautiful visuals and added to the environment of the club all night long. The club’s staff was just as inviting and hospitable as the club itself. Everyone seemed excited for the night’s events.

Temple Nightclub Denver is the second nightclub in the Temple family, with the first being Temple San Francisco. The clubs are famous for the innovative designs and use of thousands of beautiful LEDs. A part of the Zen Complex, it is one of four concepts that will eventually occupy the space – the other three being a co-working space, a coffee and cocktail bar, and an art gallery. The entire complex is slated to be finished in early 2018.

Be sure to check out the club’s official grand opening weekend November 3rd and 4th, for what promises to be another beautiful weekend of surprises featuring Nervo and MAKJ.

Temple Nightclub Denver Opening this Fall

San Francisco is home to one of the coolest nightclubs in the country: Temple. From the outside, it’s a rather unassuming place, but step inside and you’re transported to another dimension. The room gets its vibe from thousands of spherical lights protruding from the array of columns on the floor as well as the ceiling, making you feel like you’re in an actual space ship.

Now, Temple Nightclub will be arriving in Denver as part of the Zen Compound. The new compound will go live this fall in the old City Hall Event Venue at 1136 N. Broadway Street in Denver’s Capitol Hill and Golden Triangle Creative district. The nightclub will create a whole new nightlife experience, offering a 21 and over, fully immersive awe-inspiring lighting & visual experience, paired with world-class talent.

The new 20,000-square foot, three-story Zen Compound will open in stages with Temple Nightclub as the first concept to go live this fall. All three remaining concepts are expected to be up and running by the 2018 New Year.

“We see Denver as a sister city to San Francisco in many ways,” said San Francisco artist/DJ/entrepreneur Paul Hemming of his company’s expansion plan. “The Mile-High City is a major metropolitan hub and has an eclectic confluence of technology, music, art, entertainment and nightlife. It’s an exploding market with refined tastes, an entrepreneurial spirit and drive. Denver has a highly affluent market with appreciation for creativity and attention to detail.”

In Denver, construction is already underway and will bring 100 new jobs to residents; 80 of those positions are to be slotted for the nightclub. Hemming will lead design and oversee the architectural team and initial buildout, which calls for an aesthetic of “futuristic escapism” and theatrical elements while preserving key elements of the original structure. He’s also sole proprietor with a remarkable 20-year lease of the building.

Temple in SF brings hundreds of high quality DJs a year to its stage and we can expect the same from the upcoming Denver iteration.

“We found the perfect space and were able to assemble a great team and it all came together,” said Hemming.

So, stay tuned for more information about this new nightclub as it nears opening day and get excited, Colorado! This is going to be something special.

Avenue Hollywood Nightclub Grand Opening in LA

It’s not every day that a hot new club opens in Hollywood, but the Tao Group brings one of their most reliable nightlife concepts, Avenue, to the heart of Tinseltown starting tomorrow evening. A celebrity-riddled place in New York City, the Hollywood outlet is sure to bring in the same kind of A-list clientele as the Manhattan original, with a David Rockwell-designed space that spans a mere 4,000 square feet just outside the new Dream Hotel project.

Not massive, but just enough room to unleash some unabashed revelry. The place looks like a “grand estate frozen in time,” with plenty of custom design points and a lounge-style seating array. Expect world-class DJs spinning beats while the drink offerings are classic club-style booze: bottles and easy mixers. And when you get hungry, just pop over to Alvin Cailan’s pizza joint, Luchini, for slices and more. Tao, Beauty & Essex, and rooftop pool bar The Highlight Room will join Avenue for a NYC-style free for all in Hollywood.

Book bottle service for Avenue directly on the free Discotech mobile app.
