Inside Drake’s New 50,000 Sq Foot Toronto Mansion

Remember the chintzy, pimped-out McMansions that were a staple of the long-running MTV series Cribs? The Toronto home of mega recording artist Aubrey Drake Graham is something else altogether. Measuring 50,000 square feet, with amenities such as an NBA regulation-size indoor basketball court crowned by a 21-square-foot pyramidal skylight, Drake’s astonishing domicile certainly qualifies as extravagant.

But instead of vast expanses of cheap drywall and mountains of ungainly furniture upholstered with a hot glue gun, stately Drake Manor, as envisioned by Canadian architectural and interior designer Ferris Rafauli, is a marvel of old-world craftsmanship, constructed of limestone, bronze, exotic woods, and other noble materials. Every detail of the sprawling property has been meticulously conceived and executed. And there isn’t a Scarface poster in sight.

Drake took to Instagram to give us a tour of the home in his story, and the it’s absolutely insane! During the tour, the 33-year-old rapper shows off one of his living areas, complete with plush grey furniture decorated with cushions and slick, shiny coffee tables.

The expansive room is home to a roaring fireplace with a tall mirror hanging above it. Huge chandeliers scale the high ceilings and a grand piano sits in the corner of one of the rooms.

Drake also gave fans a glimpse of his mega kitchen, which boasts an opulent marble island and rows of navy blue chairs for his guests to casually dine at. Huge chandeliers adorn the ceiling while a grand piano sits in one of the living areas.

Oh, and did we mention the toilet? The rapper’s home comes with a rather unique toilet that plays soothing music to relax you while you, ahem, do your business. Not to mention it projects colorful lights and the lid lifts automatically, so even going to the bathroom can be a quite the experience.

Previous coverage reported that the master suite alone is twice the size of a regular apartment and features two covered decks, a hot tub, a dressing room, a kitchenette, and a steam shower, among other things.

The crib also features an NBA regulation-size basketball court, which couldn’t be a better fit for the Toronto Raptors global ambassador! Full gallery below:

With some of this generations best music hits, Drake has claimed the record for most Billboard hot 100 entries ever. Drake rewrites the record for the most entries ever on the Billboard Hot 100, as he lands his 208th career title on the latest list, dated March 21.

TV and rap star Drake is best known in Canada for playing wheelchair-bound Jimmy Brooks on ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation,’ and for hit songs like “Take Care,” “One Dance” and “Hotline Bling.” The multi-Grammy-award-winning rapper Drake has had two shots at fame — and nailed them both. He first came to prominence in the teen soap Degrassi: The Next Generation in the role of Jimmy Brooks, a wheelchair-bound character he played for seven years. After leaving the show he became one of the biggest rappers on the planet after signing a deal with Lil Wayne’s label Young Money Entertainment. He is rarely out of the headlines, whether it’s for dating Rihanna or Jennifer Lopez, founding his own label, OVO Sound, or fronting the NBA’s Toronto Raptors as the team’s global ambassador. Drake is known for his egotistical lyrics, technical ability, and integration of personal backstory when dealing with relationships with women. His songs often include audible changes in lyrical pronunciation in parallel with his upbringing in Toronto, and connections with Caribbean and Middle Eastern countries which include such phrases as “ting”, “touching road”, “talkin’ boasy” and “gwanin’ wassy”. Most of his songs contain R&B and Canadian hip hop elements, and he combines rapping with singing. He credits his father with the introduction of singing into his rap mixtapes, which have become a staple in his musical repertoire. His incorporation of melody into technically complex lyrics was supported by Lil Wayne, and has subsequently been a critically acclaimed component to Drake’s singles and albums.

Las Vegas residents can get used to seeing Drake around. The 6 God kicked off his Sin City residency on May 4, 2019 with a performance at the Wynn’s XS Nightclub. Drake Residency at XS Starting in 2019

Drake just guaranteed that he’ll be a big winner in Las Vegas over the next couple of years by securing millions of dollars for a residency at one of the hottest Las Vegas clubs on The Strip.

Sources close to the deal tell The Blast the “God’s Plan” singer recently agreed to a multi-year deal, with a minimum 10 show commitment at XS Nightclub inside the Wynn casino and hotel. We’re told the deal guarantees Drake more than $10 million.

Last week the hip-hop star performed at XS during the Consumers Electronics Show and hinted at the longterm deal, telling the crowd, “I’ll be back here at XS all year. You’ll have a lot of chances to see me.”

We’re told Drake was highly sought after by many clubs in Las Vegas, as it becomes the growing trend to lock down big celebrities, like J. Lo and Lady Gaga, to residency deals. After discussions with many clubs, we’re told October’s Very Own chose XS due to its high exposure and ability to consistently bring in the biggest crowds.

Which dates will Drake be playing at XS?

It’s unclear when tickets will go on sale, but it appears the official announcement is coming soon as Drake dropped a photo last week of himself performing at XS, and proclaiming, “New home.”
