Which Dayclubs and Pool Parties in Las Vegas play Hip Hop / RnB?
Although EDM has taken over many of the hottest pool parties in Las Vegas, you can still find a few pools that play primarily hip hop / top 40. Where can you find the best hip hop / R&B pools in Las Vegas? Check out our comprehensive hip hop dayclub guide below:
1. Rehab at The Hard Rock
Rehab Las Vegas, located at the Hard Rock Hotel, is the original Vegas pool party. Rehab is the name of the Sunday pool party at the The Hard Rock Hotel Beachclub, a 5 acre tropical playground was selected by the Travel Channel as one of the top 10 pools in the world. The Beachclub also plays host to Rehab Las Vegas every Sunday usually starting the end of April and going through the last week in September or first week in October.
Rehab Las Vegas pool’s Caribbean-blue water and sandy beaches also feature swim up blackjack and luxurious cabanas equipped with private safes, LCD flatscreen televisions, refrigerators, lounge chairs and a personal cabana host to serve you. In the past Rehab has Like all pool parties in Las Vegas, Rehab Las Vegas is seasonal, usually starting sometime in March and closing sometime in October.
Rehab is the #1 pool party to go to if you’re looking for a hip hop / top 40 vibe. Notable guest DJs include DJ Pauly D and Elijah Wood.
2. Drai’s Beach Club at Cromwell
Positioned atop The Cromwell on the 11th floor, Drai’s Beach Club reigns over what is arguably the busiest intersection in Vegas. During the daytime it’s a beach pool party on steroids; in the evening it morphs into an upscale high-voltage nightclub. The dayclub embraces north-facing views including the Red Rock Mountains in the distance and the Bellagio fountains across the street.
A central pool is flanked by palm trees and a white edifice with pink curtains covering the 15 second-floor cabanas outfitted with HD TVs — but with all the hard bodies dancing to the tunes of a live DJ it’s doubtful anyone will be watching much television. The nightclub, a two-story indoor space facing the dayclub pool, is all shiny black semi-circular booths and a horseshoe DJ station surrounded by columns festooned with postage stamp-sized mirrors.
Drai’s will very often be playing top 40 / hip hop but it depends on the DJ. On occasion they will bring in EDM DJs such as Quintino and Sidney Samson; on these days you’ll get a mix of hip hop and EDM.
Pro-tip: Residents at the Crowmwell get free access to the dayclub.
3. Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay
Daylight Beach Club (DBC) made it’s debut Summer 2013 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, and since then has gone on to become one of the hottest dayparties in Las Vegas. Daylight features 70 daybeds, 25 cabanas, 6 LED screens, a 5,000 sq foot pool. Like Light nightclub at the Mandalay, Daylight initially started out playing primarily EDM but with last years change in management Daylight has shifted to a Hip Hop / top 40 vibe for the 2016 season, with DJs such as E-Rock, Scooter & Lavelle, Eric D-Lux, DJ Mustard, DJ Scene, and Baauer.
Daylight is open during the summer vegas pool season, which usually starts late March/early April and runs til Labor Day.
Pro-tip: We have a free guestlist for girls and even ratio parties that includes drink tickets.
4. Tao Beach at Venetian
When the weather heats up, TAO Beach offers a sizzling hot daytime experience in Las Vegas. By day, guests can secure a reservation to lounge poolside in one of 12 luxury cabanas that feature such amenities as air-conditioning, high definition plasma screen televisions with gaming consoles, WiFi and customized mini bars. An extensive appetizer and grill menu is also available.
The outdoor oasis serves as an extension of the famed nightclub every Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the season with cabanas and tables for VIP bottle service. As night falls, guests will find themselves in an open-air nightclub featuring, two 14-foot fire columns, high-energy music from resident and international guest DJs and strategically-placed beds, perfect for lounging with friends while taking in the action.
Tao Beach always plays a mix of top 40 / hip hop / open format music. Bottle service here is also fairly reasonably priced as far as dayclubs go.
5. Bare Pool at The Mirage
Bare Pool is located at the Mirage, with the trek to get there winding through a jungle oasis that feels like a secret hideaway. Upon arrival, you’ll find an intimate pool area where women are free to wonder around topless if they choose. Bare offers a more relaxing, chill atmosphere without the wall-to-wall packed in feeling of some of the other clubs. You’ll find 14,000 square feet that includes two luxury dipping pools, a full service bar, six plasma screens, poolside daybeds, chaise lounge chairs and cabanas. As with many of the Vegas pool clubs, expect to find an endless number of beautiful people, scantily clad and looking to be seen.
The atmosphere at Bare Pool is a lot more chill and laid back than that of the other dayclubs / pools. If you’re looking for a rager, you’ll want to skip Bare. If you’re looking for a place to lie down, chill, hang out with friends with some background music, Bare Pool is your spot!
6. Liquid Pool at the Aria
The Liquid Lounge at the Aria is an adults’ only pool club that is relatively small compared to some of the others at 16,000 square feet, and tucked in behind the Aria resort’s three other pools in a world all to itself. This pool has a more chill atmosphere – if you’re looking to get faced and rage we’d suggest other dayclubs such as Rehab or Drais Beach Club. Upon arrival, guests can sink into one of Liquid Pool’s 8 grand private cabanas, each of which is equipped with a 40” flat screen TV and mini fridge. Those seeking a more integrated experience can relax on one of the chaise lounges or day beds that line the 1,200 square-foot main pool.
6. Foxtail Pool Club at the SLS
Situated at the heart of SLS Las Vegas, Foxtail Pool Club’s expansive pool deck serves as an amenity to hotel guests, home of day and nightlife experiences, and a special events space where both programmed and private events can take place with a sophisticated splash. A highlight of Foxtail Pool Club’s evening atmosphere includes the transformation of the adjacent parking garage and hotel tower into a canvas for 3D mapping, featuring visually stunning content curated by Korea based KT Corporation.
The pool is open during the week for lounging. Dayparties are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays. Be sure to check the Discotech app to see who’s spinning – Foxtail pool club has historically had a more EDM focused lineup but it looks like 2016’s lineup will feature more Hip Hop artists.
